TURNER NAMED PRESIDENT,
LIPPMANN MILWAUKEE, INC.

CUDAHY, WI – Robert Turner, 35, has been named President of Lippmann Milwaukee, Inc., a manufacturer of crushing and screening equipment for the aggregate, construction and recycling industries, based in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

Turner came to Lippmann in 1990, having previously been employed at the Chicago Board of Trade. He began his career with the Milwaukee area manufacturer in the financial end of the business, later expanding his involvement to the sales side, where he rose to the post of Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Within the last five years, Turner and CEO Diane Gabriel, implemented a marketing strategy which repositioned the company for rapid growth from a regional to national player, also landing business from overseas aggregate producers and recyclers. In addition to the company’s well regarded line of portable crushing plants, a larger feed size jaw crusher, designed for the emerging construction and demolition debris recycling market, was launched and proven successful. In July of this year, Lippmann acquired Kurtz Manufacturing of Belvidere, Illinois, adding a line of impact crushing equipment to fill a void in the product offering, expanding Lippmann’s capability to provide customers with two-stage crushing systems.

The strategy has fared well for Lippmann, with company sales in the past 12 months experiencing a 40% increase. Turner is quick to point out, however, that much of the company’s success is credited to repeat business, due to dedicated employees who consistently stand behind quality products.

Turner offered insights on future plans to launch a line of primary impactors by 2002. A new 44x60 jaw crusher is currently under development for stationary aggregate installations which Turner claims will be very competitively positioned. The company also eventually plans a foray into the mining market.

Turner was promoted to his new position as President, September 1, 1999. He received his bachelors degree from Arizona State University in Finance and Accounting. Robert is a member of several professional associations such as the National Stone Association, SME, National Aggregates Association, NADC, Wisconsin Aggregate Producers and Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association.
